Introduction to Mallow video

Video Transcript

Hey, thanks for checking out Mallow. Let's jump in and do a quick tour of the product.

This is the Mallow app. We are currently in the payments dashboard, which is an overview of all of the invoices that have been created inside of this account. We can see the status over here in this status column. We see once they've been paid, they turn green. If they've been sent, they turn yellow. If they're not sent, they're  orange. Uh if they're past due, then they turn red. Or if the payment fails, then it turns red. So, you have this really easy overview of all the invoices that you've created.

With Mallow, you can do three different styles of invoicing. Style one is just a one-off invoice. You create an invoice, you send it, your client pays it, done. Style two is a subscription style invoice. So, this is great if you've got clients on retainer, they're paying the same price every month. You can set it up on a subscription and never have to worry about it again. Our third style is what we call recurring invoices. A recurring invoice is similar to a subscription in that it's going to send the invoice every single month. The difference is it will not auto-withdraw the funds the way that a subscription would. So, this is ideal if you've got clients who really should be on a subscription, but they refuse to be put on a subscription. That's where the recurring invoice comes in. So, if you've got any recurring invoices, you can go here to the recurring invoices panel, and you can edit those. You can change the price, the day that the invoice gets sent, the due date for when it needs to be paid, the line items, whatever. You can make edits to it. Same with the subscriptions. If we click on the manage subscriptions panel, we can make edits to any ongoing subscription.

Next, we'll jump into the clients tab. Now, this is just  a list of all your clients. Nothing too special here. Tto add a new client, you click new client. Add in their client details. Let's do that right now. And I'll click create client. And now  we see our new client right there.

Let's build a new invoice. So, let's say we want to send a new invoice to local restaurant co-op. Choose how you want to be paid. Now, you if  we leave it as the default, then the client will be able to choose how they pay us – either bank transfer a or by credit card. Or we can specify how we would like to be paid. Then we'll choose our cadence. We'll say that this is a subscription and we want this to renew every month. We'll add in our line items. I've got some that I've already saved, so for me it's really easy. I can  just click on the plus button and they will be quickly added. Or I can click new line item and build out a custom line item. And our last step is to add a payment due date. So we'll say payment is due in a week from today. If I need a sales tax, I can add that in manually. And lastly, any notes and conditions. Anything that needs to be added here that perhaps doesn't apply to the line items.

Now, we'll preview our invoice. So, this is a live preview. This is exactly what your customer is going to see when they receive an invoice from you. It'll have your branding up here on top. And down below, your button colors will also be branded to match your brand. We want this to look and feel like your company, not like Mallow. You can see here we've  got all of our line items listed out. Discounts are even displayed in green. So if there is a discount, your client is very aware of that. And then it has all of the necessary information. Billed from you to your client. Has an invoice number, an issue date, and a due date. These are the notes that we wrote out. And of course the amount due is up there. If I ever need to change the designs, I can click edit design, and I can swap out logos and colors.

Once you've reviewed this and it's ready to go, scroll down to send invoice, click send, and it will be sent to your client via email. I'm going to discard this progress.

Let's jump into our contracts tab. This is the contracts dashboard. It's a similar setup to the payments dashboard. We have this overview of all of the contracts that we've created. We can see their different status if we're waiting for signature, if it's been   signed, or even if we've received some red lines.  To build a contract, you can from the contracts tab click on new contract. Or, from anywhere in the app, the "New" button is always available. So you can click new, select new contract, and then begin  building a new contract.

Now, the last thing to show you is our account settings. You can add as many team members as you need. We do not charge by the seat. So if you need multiple team members in here, a co-founder, a bookkeeper, an office manager, whoever, they can have their own login. And lastly, we currently have one integration available with QuickBooks Online. So, this is where you would go to set up that  integration.

There you have it. There's the quick Mallow tour. Hopefully, it answered all of your questions. If you've got any other questions, feel free to send us an email at support@getmallow.com or you can schedule a demo call with us. We can jump on a call and go through all the details and answer all your questions. Thanks for watching!
